lazily dream

Us on our new swing. The best family picture we could get :)

The last couple of weekends have been really fun. Although we didn't really do much, maybe that's why it was fun. I had nothing scheduled, so we've had fun just hanging out and being lazy.

Joel:

We took the kids to Toys R US and just let Joel run around crazy-like. Oh, he loved it so much. He ran from toy to toy to toy and asked "What's this?" and we just loved it. The highlight was when he yanked out a tricycle and decided he wanted to ride it. He did pretty good, but the pedalling part is still a bit tricky for him. Soon, though. Also, we attempted a viewing of Cars 2. Didn't work out so well, but I think between Rob and I we did see the whole movie.....

Charlotte:

Charlotte has decided the reclining position in chairs and her car seat is no longer acceptable. She scoots herself on her bum everywhere and tries as hard as she can to sit up. She also loves to pull up her dress and eat it. At church I took her to one of the all boy classrooms to collect their rolls. Charlotte waved her arms and then lifted up her dress to show the boys her belly button. She was smiling like crazy for these boys. Then she spit up all over the classroom. :) We've got to watch out for little Charlotte at the toy store too- I handed her a pink princess purse and she hung it on her arm just like a purse should be. It made me laugh, she does such cute things. She has her 4 month appointment today-- happy 4 months baby! I'm guessing she weighs in around 16 pounds, which is over half of what Joel weighs.

Rob:

Rob's rotation in Scottsdale allows him to be home by 1:00 pm most days! We are loving all this daddy time, but it is time for his next board test in just another week. Rob is awesome-- we started a fitness/weight loss challenge at the end of May and he has been amazing. He's been to the gym almost every day (so far he has missed TWO days in a month.) I'm insanely proud of him.

Me:

I'm doing great. The kids have started waking up around 5:30 am, so we have some pretty early mornings around here. We've been spending a good amount of time outside and trying to get "the wiggles" out. And alot of time driving-- Joel has decided the only way he'll take a nap is if he falls asleep in the car. So we've been on some fun drives lately. I've discovered that I love water aerobics classes and try really hard not to miss a class. I find I feel so much better on the days I try to get to the gym, and Rob is good about pushing me to go. I've been taking some more pictures with my new camera, and trying to learn all the cool things it can do.
